Hi.
I'm currently trying to decide what kind of theme to give my warrior's appearance. I figured I kind of wanted something like "Warrior of Darkness" where I would use very dark and black armor sets and equipment. At the same time, I wanted to try and find use for my prestige equipment.

My weapon sets are a Destroyer Maul and a Destroyer Sword/Tormented Shield.
What armor recommendation would you say would look good with those once dyed the necessary colors?

Destroyer Sword can't match Tormented Shield, I suggest you get Magmas Shield and get one full set of choice or go with destroyer gloves and Istani or Ancient chest with a combo (sleveless chest suits gloves well). The combo could consist in full ancient with another helm (highlander woad for example) or like The Bard's (or should I say Iron Toad's) combo idea (Istani chest, Obsidian helm, Ancient Leggins and Elite Kurzick Boots).

1) Destroyer Sword and Destroyer Shield match well; Destroyer Sword and Tormented Shield - not so much

2) About the Elite Kurzick dyed Black... it looks fine on all pieces except the Helm. Yes, this is personal opinion, but too much black on the Elite Kurzick looks like crap, which is why mine was dyed Silver for the longest time, now it's a custom mix.

3) If you want a "Warrior of Darkness" kind of look, check out Primeval Armor, the NF end-game armor. Spikes, bone, a skull on the shoulder, dark charcoal color on the non-dyeable surfaces, full coverage of the face from the helm - it fits the theme. Watch the gauntlets tho, they have clipping issues with many shields (the gauntlets appear to pierce thru the shield in some cases with the smaller/thinner shield skins).

4) Go check out the Nolani subforum, specifically, the Screenshot Exposition. There are a few "Post your Warrior" Threads where ppl have shared screenshots of their Warriors and different armor/weapon/shield combos. Might give you some ideas.

My money goes on Primeval with full Destroyer Weapons, or as was suggested previously, paired with a Magmas Shield. Either way the weapons and armor will provide a nice pairing that complements one another and fit your theme-driven needs.

if you are gonna wear destroyer weps they do go well with leet kurz but the destroyer sword not to good with the torment shield. I would personally go with the Kurz option for those weps with either a magmus shield and or destroyer gloves for some more lava or fire in the look.

Elite Kurzick looks good with Elite Kurzick Gloves. Destroyer Gloves are not needed, nor are they optional. They look like ass with any armor-set where the chest piece extends down the arms.

Warriors don't wear Plate-armored T-Shirts with fancy gloves. It looks like shit.

which shields do you know of that it doesnt have problems with? I am looking to get this armor on my male warrior and am not looking to look like trash when i get it :P

The Bonus Mission Pack Undead Shield it works fine with, that's primarily what I use, as the shields are max, inscribable/moddable and FREE (best perk, aside from being a sweet skin).

I'll check my Shadow Shield when I get home.

Ancient Shield will NOT work, it's too thin, the Primeval Gloves poke through it.

I was setting up my warrior with similar idea in mind, although i wouldn't use weapons you suggested.

Black primeval with fellblade/undead sword + shadow shield/gloom shield (black+black+yellow works very nice for me)/undead shield

Another choice i run is black elite kurzick with ninja mask (dyed purple + green. it gives it dark, bloody red look) with crenellated sword and gloom shield

Black platemail could also fit... I have white one and i use it with fellblade and shield of the wing.

I wouldn't suggest black obsidian. It tries to get that evil look, but ends up a bit funny. Primal or kurzick are probably the way to go

For awhile, I've been trying to find a good armor to match destroyer weps.
Would Elite Canthan dyed black do the trick? And are there any other pieces to add in the mix you guys would suggest?

Well if you already have bought the armor maybe show a picture since a lot of ppl are too lazy to look up what black canthan looks like, /raiseshand

But since i think destroyer weapons are cool looking(though a bit overrated) i would think itd go good with black canthan.

Primeval dyed orange, definitely primeval dyed orange.

Maybe one of the luxon ones as a second choice.
